The double pole, single throw (DPST) switch handles well in rugged conditions and boasts a tough, glass-filled plastic body providing an IPX7 level of ingress protection. This gives the component protection from accidental submersion in 1 m of water for up to 30 minutes. Its low-profile, rear-hinged switch is designed for improved user comfort with an all-plastic construction, raised tread pattern and anti-slip pad.

The pedal is medically safe, meeting IEC a60601-1nd UL 60601-1 approvals. You'll find that this foot switch is well matched to conditions where hand-operated switches might pose a safety concern.
