Phoenix Contact D-Sub Connector, 9 Contacts, 1A Current Rating - VS-09-PROFIBUS-SC - 1654549

Transfer data from a cable to a PCB with this D-sub connector from Phoenix Contact. The unit gets its name from the D-shaped metal shield that protects the 9 contact pins from damage. Once pushed into place, the connector screws down to protect it against industrial vibration or rough handling.

An IP67 (ingress protection) rating, indicates the unit is protected against dust and can be dropped into a body of water one metre deep for 30 minutes before suffering damage. Its PA housing material resists moisture, weak chemicals and industrial lubricants to prevent corrosion wear.

As a PROFIBUS cable, it's commonly paired with a PLC used in industrial automation applications to assist in data transferral to control modules. D-sub connectors are also compatible with serial communications, computer networks and video outputs.

• Electromagnetic compatibility protection to prevent signal interference and corrupted data transmission

• Operating temperature range between -20°C and +75°C for use in demanding conditions

• 45° body orientation so it's easy to fit connected cables around tight corners

• Compact dimension of 24 (W) x 59 (H) x 107mm (L) for installation in constricted areas
