Fluke Current Clamp, 240A Maximum AC Current, 20x5mm Maximum Conductor Size - I200S

This current clamp is an AC clamp probe designed to extend the current measurement range of scopes, power analysers and multimeters without interrupting circuits. It provides a voltage output via a safety-insulated BNC connector and includes an adaptor for connection to instruments with banana inputs. The clamp accepts single conductors and flat busbars, operates across a wide usable frequency band, and is intended for field and bench use in industrial environments.

Features & Benefits

• Dual ranges offering 20A and 200A with usable span
• 1.5% accuracy with added offset for precise readings
• Voltage output compatible with BNC-equipped instruments
• Measures up to 240A non-destructively for fault checks
• 2m cable for flexible connection to test equipment
• Accepts conductors up to 20x5mm for busbar work

Applications

• Suitable for load monitoring on control panels and switchgear
• Ideal for clamp-on current measurement during commissioning
• Used with DMMs for maintenance diagnostics on motors
• Can be used for HVAC current checks where Compact probes fit
• Used for power quality or waveform capture with scopemeters

What frequency range can it accurately follow?

It operates useably from 40Hz up to 10kHz, supporting mains and higher-frequency diagnostic measurements.

How is the clamp connected to different instruments?

The probe has a safety-insulated BNC output and includes a dual-banana to BNC adaptor for meters with banana inputs.

What is the lowest current reliably measurable?

The clamp can detect currents down to 0.1A in its lower range, suitable for light-load measurements.

What power source does the probe require for operation?

It uses a single AA battery as its power source for internal electronics.

What safety and standards apply to its use?

The device meets EN 61010 requirements and is rated to CAT III 600V for safe use on installation-level circuits.
