Fused Test Lead Set for Loop & RCD Testers


Burns, due to arcing or 'flashover' resulting from the use of unsatisfactory test probes, account for more accidents in electrical testing than are caused by electric shock. Because of this, fused test leads with 2mm or less of exposed insulation are recommended for electrical use by the HSE in their guidance note GS38. This auxiliary test lead is designed for use with a wide range of earth loop impedance testers and RCD testers. Both the red and black probes are fused to enhance the safety of the user.

Warning

Account should be taken of the protection features and safety ratings of the test meter itself when combined with high specification test leads.
