Belden 8-Core Screened Control Cable, 100m Length, 22AWG - 4506FE.00100

Use this multicore control cable from Belden to transmit signals to your communication devices. Its bare copper conductors are highly conductive, so you can be sure of reliable data transfer. Polyolefin insulates each core strand to limit power loss, while a patented Beldfoil aluminium polyester screen shields them from interference. A voltage rating of 300V (volts) means the cable can withstand heavy-power applications. Its LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket produces minimal smoke to help keep your workplace safe in the event of a fire.

Features & Benefits

• Tinned copper drain wire grounds the cable to protect against electrical surges

• Cores are colour-coded for easy identification when terminating

• Wide operating temperature range between -20°C and +70°C for use demanding conditions

• Maximum pulling tension of 135N (Newtons) for durability in demanding applications

Applications

• Alarm systems

• Audio devices

• Public address systems

What's the difference between a control cable and a power cable?

A control cable like this one lets you transmit operating signals to electrical equipment. A power cable, on the other hand, supplies it with the electrical energy it needs to function.
