TeSys K contactor, 3 poles (3NO), for motor control applications up to 6A/690V AC-3 (2.2kW@400V). It provides a 400-415V 50/60Hz AC coil, 1NO built-in auxiliary contact, connection by screw clamp terminals. For operating rates until 600 cycles/hour and environments until 50°C, it procures reliability and durability to standard applications. Very compact (45mm width), DIN-rail mounting or screw fixing. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).

Schneider Electric 3 Pole Contactors


These contactors, unlike relays, are specifically designed to connect to high current load devices. Used in larger-scale applications, Schneider Electrics contactors can be controlled remotely, specifically designed to switch a large amount of electrical power through its contacts.

What does the utilisation category AC1 and AC3 mean for the TeSys contactors?


Contactor utilisation categories define the current making and breaking values, based on the type of load to be controlled and the operating cycle conditions.

AC-1: This applies to all AC devices with a power factor of at least 0.95. Example of use: resistive load, heating, distribution.

AC-3: This applies to squirrel cage motors where breaking occurs while the motor is running. Example of use: all squirrel cage motors, lifts, escalators, conveyors, bucket elevators, compressors, pumps, mixers, air conditioning units.
