Siemens 3-Pole Contactor, 7A, 230V AC Coil Voltage - 3RT2 Series - 3RT2015-1AP01

When you need to switch loads such as electric motors or lighting, choose this 7A-rated contactor from Siemens' SIRIUS Innovation range. Its 230V AC coil means it's suitable for use with the UK mains supply without the need for a transformer. The 3NO (normally open) configuration means it'll switch the load once energised. An operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C makes this a suitable choice for a wide range of industrial environments.

• Compact dimensions of 73 (D) x 57.5 (L) x 45mm (W) let you build space-efficient systems

• High vibration resistance for durability

• Fits easily with other parts in the SIRIUS Innovation range for versatility

• 3kW power rating for switching commercial and domestic appliances

• Screw terminals help you make quick and secure connections

How does a contactor work?

A contactor consists of a coil or electromagnet, contacts, an armature and an enclosure. When current is passed through the coil, it energises the electromagnet, creating an electromagnetic field that moves the armature. This then completes or breaks the circuit depending on whether it's normally open or normally closed (NC).
