Schneider Electric Contactor, 40A Current Rating, 4 Poles - TeSys D Series - LC1DT40F7

Keen to take charge of your system's circuits? Turn to this Schneider Electric contactor to switch your kit on and off. As it has two auxiliary contacts, it signals a control device when it switches. This automatically activates other circuits and boosts efficiency. A current rating of 40A means the unit can tackle high-power applications. Thanks to its operating rate of up to 3600 cycles per hour, it's just the thing for equipment that needs frequent switching. This product supports rail and plate mounting, making it a cinch to incorporate into different setups.

Features & Benefits

• Opening time of 4 to 19ms and closing time of 12 to 22ms for snappy switching

• Low power dissipation of 3.2W per pole for energy efficiency

• IP20 rating means it's finger-safe and protected against objects larger than 12mm

• Compact dimensions of 91 (H) x 45 (W) x 99mm (D) to add minimal bulk to your setup

Applications

• Lighting systems

• Power distribution

• Manufacturing equipment

What's the service life of this product?

This contactor has an electrical lifespan of 1.4 million cycles, giving you long-term machine control.

• Easily installed accessories

• Flexible control circuit to suit a wide range of applications

What does the utilisation category AC1 and AC3 mean for the TeSys contactors?

Contactor utilisation categories define the current making and breaking values, based on the type of load to be controlled and the operating cycle conditions.

  • AC-1: This applies to all AC devices with a power factor of at least 0.95. Example of use: resistive load, heating, distribution.

  • AC-3: This applies to squirrel cage motors where breaking occurs while the motor is running. Example of use: all squirrel cage motors, lifts, escalators, conveyors, bucket elevators, compressors, pumps, mixers, air conditioning units.

  • What accessories are available?

    • Auxiliary contact blocks with serrated wiping action

    • Front mount dust tight auxiliary contact blocks

    • Pneumatic time delay blocks

    • Transient voltage surge suppressors

    • Interface modules and electronic timers

    • Mechanical latching blocks

Is the TeSys D range a double break pole type contactor?

Yes the Tesys D range uses linear translation movement that provides double breaking of the poles.
