How do contactors work?

Contactors are heavy-duty switches that use a coil to generate an electromagnetic field to connect or cut a circuit. This turns systems off and on as needed.

What do NC and NO mean?

NC stands for normally closed, which means the circuits are connected, and your device is usually on, which is a good fit for systems like humidifiers. Normally open means devices are off until you turn them on, like with lighting systems.
