The MECATRACTION Cable clamp is an additional tool used with a semi-con scoring tool to ensure accurate semi-con shield preparation. High voltage failure analysis shows that insulation damage or poor semi-con preparation can lead to premature failure of elbows, terminations, or splices. The clamp secures an accurate circumferential ring cut at the Terminal point of the semi-con, a common failure area, improving overall reliability during the preparation process.
Minimum Cable outer diameter is 8 mm
Maximum Cable outer diameter is 51 mm
