How do you use a taper gauge?

A taper gauge is designed for measuring grooves, hole diameters, or gaps between two opposing sides. The actual measurements can be read via the imperial or metric graduation on the front and reverse side taper gauge. The device is easy to use, simply insert into a groove for example and slide the gauge forward until it comes to a dead stop, this will reveal the true measurement diameter value.
