Festo Brass 2-Way Ball Valve, 9.53mm Thread, 12mm Compression Fitting - QH-3/8

Need a simple and dependable valve to isolate parts of your air or water system? This two-way ball valve from Festo has a hard chrome ball and brass body that combine strength with corrosion resistance, for reliable industrial use. It's operated with a lightweight aluminium handle, which is coloured blue for easy visibility. The valve connects with a double standard G female thread. As it's suitable for use at pressures from 0.95 to 30 bar, it's compatible with a wide range of applications.

• Hardwearing option suitable for use in vacuum systems

• Operating temperature range of -20°C to +180°C to withstand harsh environments

Applications

Should I use a ball valve or a gate valve?

Ball valves are an ideal choice for shut-off applications, as the simple design makes them durable. They can stand up to many cycles of opening and closing and will close securely even when they haven't been used for a long period. They're easier to use than a gate valve and are less prone to leaks. Gate valves are more suitable when a straight-line or unrestricted flow of fluid is needed, and they offer finer control in throttling applications.
