SKF Deep-Groove Ball Bearing, 40mm ID, 68mm OD - 6008

This SKF deep-groove ball bearing lowers load strain and helps prevent friction, as well as associated wear, in your machinery. It has twelve metal balls contained in a single row between two steel rings. The unit has a reference speed of 22,000r/min (rotations per minute) and a limiting speed of 14,000r/min, making it ideal for high-speed machinery. A ball bearing like this one is frequently fitted to a rotating shaft used in high performance tools such as CNC (computer numerical control) lathes and high-frequency internal grinding machines.

• Static load rating of 11.6kN (kilonewtons) and dynamic load rating of 17.8kN for medium-duty use

• Made of corrosion-resistant steel material for reliability and minimal maintenance

• Open-side design for quick and easy application of lubrication

Applications

• Offshore drills

• Pharmaceutical industry

• Medical equipment

• Freight engines

• Liquid pumps

What are the dimensions of this ball bearing?

This ball bearing has a 68mm outside diameter and a 40mm inner diameter. The 15mm race width, between the inner and outer rings, has a deep enough groove to accept a rubber seal for extra protection.
