Why would you need a HDMI adapter?
Adapters can save you both money and space. Rather than purchase new equipment or have various cables for each device, adapters let you convert your old devices. All new HDTVs, DVD and Blu-ray players come with HDMI ports and also digital cameras and mobile phones have a form of the interface included. Computers, monitors and gaming systems are also adopting the interface. RS PRO have a number of adapters available that can help customise HDMI connectivity to meet special circumstances.

Typical applications
HDMI adapters connect your HDMI devices to DVI peripherals like Plasma or LCD screens:-
Digital TV
Plasma Display
LCD displays
Satellite Box
High Definition Monitor
DVD Players
FAQ:
What is HDMI-DVI compatibility?
The HDMI interface is electrically identical and compatible with the DVI (video only) interface which was used before HDMI came on the market. For example, if a cable box or PC has DVI out but the TV or monitor only has HDMI in, a DVI to HDMI adapter is used to connect the video. However, the sound or audio must be transferred separately using an optional connection, as DVI transfers only video.
