These brushes are made with an aluminium oxide mineral, a sharp cutting and durable abrasive which continually self-fractures during use to expose fresh cutting edges and provide a smooth consistent finish – unlike traditional abrasives, such as garnet, which quickly wear down with use. This high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention makes aluminium oxide mineral ideal for sanding and finishing applications. It can be used on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Scotch-Brite Roloc Cut and Polish Flap Brushes are engineered to conform to the substrate, so they are a good option for working inside diameters and for blending surface imperfections.
