RS PRO 3D Printer Filament CARBON-P

This CARBON-P filament from our own RS PRO brand is suitable for a wide variety of applications, typically RC (radio control) parts. Many parts can be designed in your own home and then turned into a fully functioning component or at very least a well-designed prototype.

CARBON-P filament is 20% carbon fibre reinforced PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) based filament. The carbon fiber material is strong enough to replace aluminium at half the weight: use it when you want superior stiffness and minimal deflection.

Benefits

3D printing with PETG filament delivers a result that gives the materials a clear look, which is less brittle and simpler to use than the base form of PET.

Features

  • Increased impact and heat resistance (HDT) up to 80゚C

  • Water-resistant

  • Nozzle temperature of 210 - 250 °C

  • Matt surface

  • Abrasive (see additional info*)

  • Additional info:

    * Please consider the use of a hardened steel nozzle when printing with CARBON-P. The carbon fiber is abrasive and will result in fast wear of regular brass nozzles.

CARBON-P can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers.

Storage: Cool and dry (15-25゚C) and away from UV light which will improve the shelf life significantly

Note:;Due to virtually no warping of CARBON-P, this filament can also be printed without a heated bed. If you have a heated bed the recommend temperature is ± 35-60゚C.

    Note

Due to virtually no warping of CARBON-P, this filament can also be printed without a heated bed. If you have a heated bed the recommend temperature is ± 35-60゚C
