    Pneumatic Pressure Sensors

A pneumatic pressure sensor is used to measure the compressed air/ gas pressure levels in a system by allowing them to be measured and monitored through a range of electronic devices.

These pressure sensors are transducers, whereby generating the electrical signal in proportion to the output pressure being measured. If the pressure sensor detects a fall or an increase in pneumatic levels, this can then be adjusted or investigated so it can be corrected.

Some pressure sensors are pressure switches, whereby when the pressure reaches a certain level the switch is turned on or off accordingly.

Pressure levels need to be controlled, accurately and carefully monitored in all cases, which is why sensors are so critical and vitally important in many different applications such as automotive, medical, industrial and building devices. These sensors can lead to personal safety, as well as helping with low cost reductions.
