As the plug won't burn for more than 10 seconds and is self-extinguishing, it supports workplace safety and can be used in potentially hazardous areas.

The housing can be used with Mini-Fit crimp terminals from the 5558 and 46012 series. For versatility, it's also suitable for Mini-Fit Jr. 30490-series grounding pins.
