Brad from Molex M12 Sensor Actuator Cable, 2m Length, PUR/PVC - 1200060647

For a dependable connection in your industrial network, choose this Brad from Molex cable. It's fitted with an A-coded, M12 connector to work with common automation and control applications such as sensors and actuators. A thread-lock fastener prevents accidental disconnections and the conductive, corrosion-resistant gold-plating on the mating section helps keep your connection stable. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and PUR (polyurethane) materials make for a durable jacket that's resistant to chemicals, tears and stresses. This lets the five cores reliably transfer data and electrical signals between manufacturing and processing devices.

• Length of 2m for flexible reach between devices without straining

• Unterminated end for creating a customised connection to your controller or device

• Free end is stripped to speed up termination process

• IP67 (ingress protection) rating indicates it's dust-tight and waterproof for use in demanding environments

Applications

• Assembly lines and manufacturing

• Process control and automation

• Plant engineering

• Machine building

What's the difference between an M12 and an M8 connector?

Both M12 and M8 connectors are commonly used in industrial networking. They both have a threaded connection to keep them secure but have different thread sizes. M8 connectors are used just for sensors, while M12 connectors link input and output devices across networks including actuators and distribution boxes.

Single Ended Leads

2 metre length leads supplied in 4 or 5 way versions with straight, 90°, or 90° PNP LED connectors incorporating an M12 anti-vibration, corrosion and weld splatter resistant coupling nut. Three cable options are available:

PVC - for general purpose, low cost applications

PUR - for chemical resistance - especially to cutting and other lubricating oils

SJTO - constructed from oil and flame resistant PVC materials and a braided screen, it is physically robust and gives extended life in applications where the cable may be subject to abrasion, crushing and weld splatter

All cables have a conductor csa of 0.34mm²

See stock number 341-8016 typical for splitter boxes for details of LED function
