    3M Fine Sanding Sheet, P240 Grit, 230 (W) x 280mm (L) - 618 Series - 7000034040

With its sharp and aggressive cut, this sanding sheet from 3M will help you quickly achieve a smooth finish on your workpiece. The silicon carbide grit is ideal for use on rough surfaces and for polishing – it's commonly used for finishing after rough sanding with aluminium oxide sandpaper. The 240 grit size gives a fine finish, making this paper particularly suitable for sanding between coats of paint. The 230 (W) x 280mm (L) sheet is easy to cut or fold to the size you need.

What size grain sandpaper do I need?

    • Use in applications requiring an aggressive cut with a fine finish

Coarse sandpapers of grit size 40 to 60 are ideal for heavy sanding and stripping. Sandpapers with medium grits sized 80 to 150 are used for smoothing surfaces. Fine grit sizes above 180 are used to roughen surfaces for painting or to achieve ultra-smooth textures.
