RS PRO Fibre Optic Sensor 110 mm, IP65

This RS PRO fibre-optic sensor or amplifier can be used in a variety of sensing applications. Once connected to a fibre-optic cable, the sensor emits, receives and converts the light signal into an electrical one, allowing you to detect and measure a number of parameters. You can also use it to measure the mechanical properties of the application, as well as the signal velocity and acceleration.
The housing of the sensor is made from transparent polycarbonate to protect it from dust. It has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP65, which means it's also shielded against low-pressure water jets from any direction. The sensor features a green LED (light-emitting diode) indicator, showing the power status and a red LED indicator displaying the output status.
You can set the sensor to a specific sensing distance and also have the light on/dark on options, making the sensor a versatile device. It's also protected against reverse polarity, shock, overload and short-circuits in your application.
