A heat sink is a device designed to dissipate heat generated by an electrical component. In this kit, the aluminium mounting plate serves as a heat sink to prevent the power module from overheating, ensuring efficient operation.

The plastic clip attaches directly to the DIN rail. The included screws join the aluminum plate to the plastic clip and the power module to the plate.
