Use this Schmersal magnetic actuator together with the BNS33 magnetic safety switch, also from Schmersal. This is an essential component for the operation of the safety switch, so ensure the two products are bought together. This device has a maximum operating voltage of 120 V AC/DC and uses electromagnetic force to move the contacts of the connected switch into their open or closed position. For safe and easy mounting, this device is supplied with two tamperproof screws that fit the unidirectional slots.

How is this device most safely and best deployed?


This actuator complies with the standard EN 60947-5-3 for low-voltage switchgear and control gear. In order to meet the safety standard, the entire system – consisting of a safety sensor, magnetic actuator and a safety monitoring module – must all be used together.
