RS PRO Dust Cover
The RS PRO USB dust cap prevents dust and water from affecting your USB (universal serial bus) connections when they’re not in use. It's made from tough thermoplastic and can be put to the test in harsh environments.
The black waterproof cap has as Ingress Protection rating of IP67, meaning it's dust-tight and waterproof, while its knurled casing makes finger gripping and tightening easier. Its durable chain can be attached to a panel to prevent the cap from getting lost. This component has a silicone sealing pad and is supplied with a thermal plastic rivet and screw cap.
Dust covers such as this one extend the life span of both plastic and metal USB connectors in any setting where water or dust is present. Besides dust caps, RS PRO also stocks a range of USB hoods, shell connectors and robust metal USB adaptors that protect against shock and vibration.
