Use this LAN connection module from Siemens in your industrial Ethernet network. It converts electrical signals into optical signals in star or ring topologies. As it's unmanaged, it doesn't need to be configured, so it's easy to integrate into your setup. The built-in redundant power supply minimises the risk of electrical failure because each of its two power inputs can run the unit individually, even if one goes down. You can mount the unit on either a cabinet wall or a rail. This is a suitable option for uncomplicated networking in machine-oriented industrial applications.
