Siemens 6ES7134 Series Analogue Input Module, 1 A/5 A Current Transformer Compatibility - 6ES7134-6PA01-0BU0

This analogue input module is a DIN-rail mounted device for energy and electrical measurement in industrial automation. It acquires voltage, current and power-related quantities from networks with TT, TN or IT earthing and works with external current transformers to measure up to three phases Plus neutral. The module integrates into Siemens PLC environments and supports cyclic and acyclic access to measured values for process control and monitoring.

Features & Benefits

• Supports 1A or 5A current transformers for flexible installation
• TRMS voltage and current measurement for accurate distorted waveforms
• Energy and power measurement including Active and reActive values
• Bandwidth 3.2kHz with harmonics up to 63rd for detailed analysis
• Isolation tested between channels and backplane for safe integration

Applications

• Suitable for substation metering using CT secondary outputs
• Used for building energy monitoring with three-phase systems
• Ideal for integration into PLC-based energy management systems
• Can be used for power factor and reactive compensation monitoring

What supply voltage do I need to operate the module?

It requires a 24 V DC supply and accepts a voltage range from 19.2V to 28.8V.

How many channels and what update rate are available for measured values?

The device updates all measured and calculated values consistently in approximately 50ms for the complete channel set.

What diagnostic information can be obtained from the module?

It provides supply-voltage monitoring, channel-status LEDs, module diagnostics including hardware interrupts, limit-value alarms and I&M0 to I&M3 data.

Which engineering tools support configuration and firmware updates?

Configuration is possible via STEP7 TIA Portal from the specified version and also through provided GSD files for fieldbus integration

firmware updates are supported.

What environmental limits apply for installation altitude and temperature?

It can operate up to 3000m installation altitude with specified restrictions above 2000 m and ambient operating temperatures down to −30°C and up to 60°C depending on orientation.
