Harting Han E Series Heavy Duty Power Connector, Hood and Insert Kit Content - 09330162601+19300161521

This heavy‑duty power connector provides a robust Interface for industrial power distribution in demanding environments. Supplied as a hood and insert kit, it combines a screw‑terminated male contact insert with a protective housing to deliver secure electrical connections for automation, electronics and mechanical installations where high current and voltage handling are required.

Features & Benefits

• Rated for 16 A and 500V to support moderate power feeds
• Conductor capacity 0.75–2.5 mm² for flexible cable choices
• AWG18–AWG14 compatibility for standard conductor sizes
• Silver‑plated copper contacts to improve conductivity
• Polycarbonate insert with V‑0 flammability classification for safety
• Mating endurance ≥500 cycles for repeated assembly use

Applications

• Suitable for machine tool power feeds in automated production
• Ideal for control panels requiring detachable power interfaces
• Used with fieldbus and drive systems in factory installations
• Can be used for temporary power distribution during maintenance
• Suitable for railway vehicle electrical compartments with fire requirements

What torque values should be applied to contact screws during assembly?

Contact screws require 0.5 N·m tightening torque while protective earth screws require 1.2 N·m and fixing screws 0.5 N·m.

Which driver types are appropriate for connecting conductors?

Use slotted drivers 0.6 x 3.5mm or 0.8 x 4.5 mm, or Phillips PH1 and PH2 for the specified screw heads.

How does the insert handle environmental electrical stress?

It has a rated impulse withstand of 6 kV and an insulation resistance greater than 1x10^10 Ω for high‑stress conditions.

What temperatures can the assembly tolerate in service?

Operational limits span from −40 °C up to +125 °C for continued performance.

Is there an earth contact and how is it configured?

A protective earth contact is incorporated and secured with an M4 screw for earthing continuity.

Note

Male and female inserts may be fitted to a hood or housing if the installation requires such a reverse configuration.
