Use this handy dust cap from Phoenix Contact to close unused plugs and other I/O (input/output) field devices. It effectively seals unoccupied ports to keep dust and moisture from getting into your electrical connections and causing damage.
The cap is made from strong nylon that's long-lasting and resistant to corrosion, so you can rely on it for a long service life. Its light weight of only 4.6g means there's no risk of the unit putting unnecessary strain on an electrical port. It comes supplied with a fixing band, so you can conveniently attach it to machinery or equipment and there's less chance of losing it.
A protective dust cover like this is suitable for use in a wide variety of industrial applications, such as assembly lines, robotics and equipment manufacturing. It meets UL 94-V0 flammability standards, which means it's self-extinguishing and won't contribute to an electrical fire.
