What is a Mains Connector?

A mains connector, also known as a main power connector, allows electronic devices to be connected to the primary power supply (AC) that runs through a building via wall-mounted power points or sockets.

When the main wire connector, or plug, is inserted into the socket, the metal prongs inside the plug make direct contact with the socket's internal conductors.
