Hirose 0.5mm SMT FPC/FFC ZIF Connectors with Top Contact - FH34(S) Series
FH34(S) series SMT horizontal mount FPC/FFC ZIF connectors with a 0.5mm contact pitch and top contact points that can support FPC/FFC with a standard thickness of 0.3mm. These 0.5mm FPC/FFC SMT ZIF connectors have an increased FPC/FFC retention force, a low profile 1.0mm above board design and a small depth of 2.8mm. A rotational finger operated back-flip actuator is included on these FPC/FFC ZIF connectors which allows easy insertion and reliable connection of the FPC/FFC and negates the need for side latches allowing connectors to be mounted side by side. The body of these FH34(S) series 0.5mm FPC/FFC ZIF connectors is made from beige UL94V-0 LCP with a solid bottom surface (no contact exposure) enabling the FPC/FFC connector to be mounted over conductive traces on the PCB and has entry chamfers on all sides of the insertion slot to aid insertion and positioning of the FPC/FFC. The contacts are top mounted and are made from phosphor bronze with gold plating.

The FH34(S) series SMT horizontal mount FPC/FFC ZIF connectors can be used in conjunction with or as replacements for the FH19SC series (bottom contact) FPC/FFC ZIF connectors as they both have the same mounting patterns.
