ICD 2 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer Evaluation Kit

In-Circuit Debugger (ICD 2) allows the debugging of a range of PIC microcontrollers through the MPLAB® Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The ICD 2 module connects between the PC and the user's target board allowing direct in-circuit debugging of the target microcontroller in real time. A range of header interfaces is available to allow users to connect the ICD 2 to their target board IC socket where a suitable ICD modular connection is not available.

The ICD 2 uses MPLAB IDE (Integrated Development Environment) graphical user interface enabling various PIC microcontroller debuggers. It can be connected to PCs and user target boards with MPLAB ICD 2 modules and can directly connect with the target microcontroller in-circuit debugger in real time. A header interface is provided so by using this, the MPLAB ICD 2 can be connected to the target board IC socket when the suitable ICD module connection cannot be used.
