Making it easier and faster to find what you need
At RS, we pride ourselves on listening to our customers. So when some of our customers told us
our online search could be smarter, we set to work improving it.
And here’s what we’ve done so far…
- Greater search relevancy – enter a term into the search box and you’ll instantly see that results are more focused and more relevant. So you don’t have to trawl through loads of unsuitable products to find what you’re looking for.
- Improved search results – to ensure broad product choice, we used to display a wide selection of categories. But sometimes the large range was simply too confusing. So now we offer the most relevant categories, with the most popular at the top of the page.
- Refined search targeting – to speed up your product search, we’ve arranged filters in a more logical order, making it quick and simple to select a range of values. Plus we’ve enhanced our product data, so it’s easier to scan and select specific product characteristics

You told us that sometimes it's hard to find the technical information you're looking for; that’s why we’ve expanded our Technical References to include:
- 3D downloads
- Product manuals
- Addtional 80,000 datasheets
Smarter Search
As you type we predict the Categories, Brands and Part Numbers related to your search. Also, you can now see the top products from each of the Categories returned. If you hover over Categories within search we display our top 4 products and you can click straight through to the product page.
